Book Review: Love for You Alone

DISCLAIMER: THIS BOOK CONTAINS ADULT CONTENT NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE UNDER 18 YEAR OLD.

Hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday, I sure am. The nice thing about this Tuesday we are bringing the Rizer Wolf Pack review series to a close. Yes today we are reviewing the final book in the series, Love for You Alone. I thought this book ended the series well and brings great hope to the world within its pages. Check out the review below.

The Review

Victor has to face his passed. A love left lost with betrayal believed to be mixed into it has turned the woman of his dreams against him. But, in order to protect his new pack he does the unthinkable, he kidnaps her. Now facing an angry tigress he is in for the fight of his life.

Nicole Lehenengoa is a descendent from the first shifters. Her blood is special and both humans and shifters want to get their hands on her. She doesn’t trust easily and only is looking for one thing—continue her bloodline. Will she put trust in an old love that betrayed her or in a man she shouldn’t trust.

Amelia Wilson strings together a powerful love story that has you rooting for Victor. The only thing is the way he goes about getting his woman is questionable at times. But, what do you expect from a man that is clueless when it comes to the woman he loves. I found this book to be a great ending to the series and wish it continued. Highly recommend this book and all the ones before it to those searching for a shifter series that gives you all kinds of twists and turns.

Stars: 5 out of 5 stars

The Book

T51j6NdjE9OLhe man versus shifter war may have come to an end, but the shifter on shifter fight is just beginning.

Victor is in the past, or at least that’s where he was supposed to be until he kidnapped her from her pack. Nicole is a furious shifter ready to draw blood, even if it does belong to the shifter she once loved and trusted.

Nicole’s temper has not weakened over time but Victor won’t give up on what they once had together. He will walk through fire to be with Nicole and claim her as he should have so long ago.

But what chance does a werewolf shifter have of charming a tigress?

Book Review: In Love with the Enemy

DISCLAIMER: THIS BOOK CONTAINS ADULT CONTENT NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE UNDER 18 YEAR OLD.

Welcome back to another Monday. Don’t worry I will make this post simple for those still working on waking up for the week. I find Mondays to be the hardest for myself to get back into feeling motivated after the weekend. As expected I have another book review from the Rizer Wolf Pack Series. Hope you enjoy this review for book 4 and snatch up this series, you won’t forget it.

The Review

Nora Prush is an agent for the Human Rights Faction or HRA. They work to destroy all shifters. She is on her first mission to infiltrate Freebasin and find out the weaknesses on how to destroy the shifters. The only problem she finds out is getting close to the Rizer wolf pack. In order to get the wolves to trust her she has to get close to Ian. Nora soon finds that she is torn between emotions she never felt before and being loyal to her cause.

Ian is getting over the trauma he was dealt at the hands of Demitrus. Not only that he has to deal with his twin having his destined mate. With more pairs joining together it becomes more complicated for the single wolves. Then in walks Nora and he can’t get enough of her. The only problem he faces is the secret she is harboring. Will their new found love triumph or will Ian’s heart forever be broken?

Amelia Wilson spins a story of an ultimate betrayal and love. From the beginning you aren’t wanting harm to come to the Rizer pack but then you see a flicker of hope. Then the emotions that unravel before your eyes gives your heart joy. You can’t but hope for a happy ending for both the main characters. The hard part is just getting to that point.

Stars: 5 out of 5

The Book

51j7Q3-wbiLHow do you land on your feet, when you realize everything you thought you knew is wrong?

Nora isn’t afraid of penetrating the Rizer pack. She’s trained to infiltrate them and gain the trust of the shifters who pretend to be half human.

The spy game means seduction and with the shifter Ian, it’s effortless. The way he looks at Nora, speaks her name, she finds her body responding to him when it’s supposed to be just an act.

The more she finds out about Ian the more confused she becomes about what is real and what isn’t. Ian makes her body come alive in a way she’s never known but, can she really trust a shifter?

Book Review: Dead Flesh

I am a big fan of Tim O’Rourke’s Kiera Hudson books. I can’t get enough of them. Just last month I finished up the six book review series I did for series one. Now, I plan to move onto series two and provide a review for each book. I will continue with a new review each month on the last Monday of the month. This will include ten books in this series and I hope you will follow along as I have with reading them.

The Review

At, the end of series one Kiera makes her choice between the humans and vampyrus. However, she doesn’t make the choice the elders expected. In retribution they cursed her back to life as the dead flesh. Now back at Hallowed Manor with her friends they wonder what their purpose is. To get things back in order, Kiera puts an ad in the paper to find people who need her detective skills.

Now investigating Emily Clarke’s death Kiera finds the world not the way she left it. The world has been pushed with slight changes. With getting pulled to a school filled with kids held by skin-walkers Kiera needs to unravel the horrors within. Will Kayla make it out safe or will she become a skin-walker herself? You will only find out by reading the book.

Tim O’Rourke spins a story so well it is hard to figure out the answers before they happen. He keeps you guessing and wanting more. Each little image he gives is like a trick of the eye and only Kiera Hudson is skilled enough to figure out the scene unfolding before her. As a reader, I find myself pulled into the book and rooting for Kiera. She is a lovable character that you want to succeed more than anything. He keeps you laughing with the banter between Isidor and Potter or Potter and Murphy. If you can’t see Potter is a comical relief wherever he is. Highly recommend this book to everyone that loves a twist on zombies. They aren’t truly zombie like but they do need to feed on blood to keep from turning to ash.

Ranking: 5 out of 5 stars!

The Book

DEAD FLESHDead Flesh

When Kiera and her friends return from the dead, they soon realise that the world is not the same – it has been pushed. Returning to Hallowed Manor, Kiera soon learns that it’s not only the world that has changed, she is changing, too.

Asked to help solve the murder of missing school teacher, Emily Clarke, Kiera and her friends soon discover that they are now living in a world where humans and wolves live together, sharing a fragile peace. But during her investigations, Kiera soon discovers that the world is now a much darker and dangerous place than the one she left behind.

Dead Flesh is Book One of The Kiera Hudson Series Two.

Book Review: Sight of Love

DISCLAIMER: THIS BOOK CONTAINS ADULT CONTENT NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE UNDER 18 YEAR OLD.

It’s the second week in our review series for the Rizer Pack Shifter series. This means we are onto book number two in the series titled, Sight of Love. I rather enjoyed this book much like the first and it keeps the momentum going for the series. Hope you are enjoying this series review and snatch up a copy of Sight of Love.

The Review

Angeline Synet and her family just moved to Freebasin. A kidnapping, and a string of murders are uncovered soon after her arrival. She however is cursed to see the deeds unravel in her dreams. Her family doesn’t want her to act but she can’t sit back and watch people die. Now forced onto Rizer Pack territory Angeline finds herself at the mercy of Killian.

Killian has an instant dislike of Angeline because of her being a non-shifter. He doesn’t trust her but can’t help but feel for her. Before he knows it he is in over his head. The only problem is Angeline will soon find out who friend and foe really is.

Amelia Wilson spins a tale with twists turns and knocks you on your butt all at once. The emotional turmoil of her characters pull at you and make you pull for them. I couldn’t put this book down like the first in the series. Just couldn’t stop reading once I started.

Sight of Love reminds me of Tim O’Rourke’s Kiera Hudson series. Both books have a main character that struggles with a gift the brings people together and destroys them. Amelia is far more uplifting than Tim O’Rourke’s series since his is far more dark in comparison.

Stars: 5 out of 5 stars

The Book

519--R2G32LWhat price is too high, if it means having visions of the future?

Angelina can see what most can’t with her visions. She can’t control her visions any more than she can control her physical response to Kilian, a shifter.

Kilian is tangled in her web of problems so fast he has no choice but to deal with the human woman, Angelina. He’d much rather be tangled in the sheets with the sexy, hot tempered, woman of secrets than her problems and knack for getting in trouble.

She’s beautiful no question about it, but what Angelina will show Kilian will uncover a very dangerous path. It isn’t a path Kilian can allow Angelina to travel alone.

Book Review: Love Beyond the Wall

DISCLAIMER: THIS BOOK CONTAINS ADULT CONTENT NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE UNDER 18 YEAR OLD.

Welcome to another wonderful Tuesday. It’s time to start another review series. What series will I be reviewing this time around. The series that I will be featuring over the next five weeks is Amelia Wilson, Rizer Pack Shifter Series. I found this series to extremely exciting and enjoyable. Hope you will come along for the ride as I review a new book in the series each week. First up is Love Beyond the Wall.

The Review

Cara Warden is the future bride of the town leader Aldrich. She despises her fate and wants escape. Since she can’t get help from the towns people let alone her father Cara resorts to drastic measures. On the verge to go out into the world beyond the safety of the town walls she faces the shifter pack standing without. When Darian the leader of the Rizer pack catches her scent he goes to investigate. He just never expected to find a beautiful woman to be the source of his wolves crazed behavior.

Amelia Wilson spins a story of deception, love, and adventure throughout her book. It is captivating to watch a young girl find her way into a strange world. The only difference is her world is full of shifters that turn out to mean no harm, or do they. Cara needs to find out who is friend or foe to stay alive. This book is a wild ride that grips your attention from page one and makes it impossible to put it down. You can’t help but fall in love with all the characters and hope they all find a happily ever after.

Love Beyond the Wall reminds me of the detailed writing by Maia Starr and Aidy Award. Each author has there own style but I find these three authors to have a wonderful world building structure around their shifter books. Amelia Wilson is definitely an author to keep an eye on and make sure to check out her other series.

Stars: 5 out of 5 Stars

The Book

34675491._SY475_Cara Warden has been chosen by Aldrich to be his bride. Saying no to Aldrich isn’t an option. He owns the food source, the water, and the weapons that protect the town from the creatures outside the wall that surrounds the town.

When Cara can’t say no and refuses to say yes, she’s left with only one option. She’ll have to escape Aldrich. She’ll take her chances against the creatures who’ve killed every hunter who’s dared leave the town since the shifter pack arrived.

Outside the wall, she’s being stalked by one of the shifters. He calls himself Darian. He’s dangerous and mysterious. Cara can’t figure out if he’s trying to help her or if he’s just toying with her, playing with his food.

Will Cara be able to escape Aldrich? Will Darian be the creature who spares her or will he be the devil that leaves her to the wolves?

Book Review: Vampire Hollows

The finale is here. This will end my series review for Kiera Hudson Series One. However, there are additional series so the book review series will continue. Thought you were done with me not yet. I currently have series two already read and will do those reviews on schedule after I publish this one. I hope everyone enjoyed this series as much as I did. If you haven’t started it yet, you should it is an awesome read. This coming from the girl that doesn’t like reading vampire books. That has transformed since reading Tim O’Rourke’s published books.

The Review

Kiera and her friends are out of options, the only place they can go is the Hallows. Seeing a world talked about will fill Kiera with wonder. But, with danger around every corner her friends start to drop like flies.

Will she make it to the elders to make her choice? Who is Elias Munn and how will she stop him from destroying the human world? Can she destroy an entire race to save those she loves most? You will only find out by reading this awesome book.

This book was by far my favorite. It was not because it is the last book in the series with all the answers to my questions. This book had so many twists, turns, ups, and downs it kept me reeling in my seat. Each book gets better and better. Then the ending comes with the most surprising twist.

Yes, the ending was twisted but left me screaming. I wanted a different ending. I wanted it to continue. The sense I was cheated as a reader felt strong. Then I got to the end where a preview for the next series book was. Then happiness crept back in and I couldn’t wait to grab the next series to find out the next twist and turns to come.

Tim O’Rourke you are a talented author. I loved each book with a passion. Yes, there were times I stumbled across formatting issues, typos or something else not worth mentioning. But, I loved the book so much I could overlook these small in-fractures. Please keep writing so I can keep reading your books. Love them to death. Overall, out of all them I only 4 starred one book in this series. The rest all blew my mind away.

Question I had while reading this book:

Who is Elias Munn? Luke or Potter?

Who is killing Kiera’s friends?

Tim O’Rourke should make artwork of the hallows. (Not a question more like an idea :).)

Ranking: 5 out of 5 stars!

The Book

VAMPIRE HALLOWSVampire Hallows

With nowhere else to run but The Hollows, Kiera Hudson finds herself in a world like no other. Entrusted with a secret, she has to make her way to the mysterious Lighthouse set hundreds of miles beneath the Earth. As she makes her journey, Kiera’s companions are being murdered one by one. Is the killer among them – and is it the illustrious Elias Munn?

Not knowing who to trust, who to love, or who to believe, Kiera makes the most dangerous journey of her life in search of the Elders hidden within the walls of the Dust Palace. With time running out, Kiera knows she must finally make the impossible choice of which race will live and which will die.

Angie’s New Moon Book Review

DISCLAIMER: THIS BOOK REVIEW FEATURES A BOOK WITH ADULT CONTENT NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18. PLEASE BE ADVISED.

Welcome to the fifth week of our series review of McKayla Schutt’s werewolf series, The Legend Series. It is by far one of my top favorite werewolf series to read and I actually plan to re-read these books over and over again. Without drowning on for to long though I thought we should get down and dirty with this review. Check it out below.

Book Review

Angie has lived her life feeling alone and different. She isn’t like the other wolf shifters. She hasn’t found her wolf yet. Struggling with finding out who she is and where she belongs you find yourself pulling for her. She is such a strong and emotional character you just can’t but get pulled in. McKayla Schutt did a wonderful job building Angie up and helping her find the rightful place she belongs. This book had me captured from page one and I couldn’t put it down till I finished it. I was so hungry for more I instantly grabbed the next book in the series to continue along in The Legend Series. Highly recommend this book and every other book in this series to those that love happy endings with sexy werewolves.

Stars: 5 out of 5

The Book

ANGIES NEW MOONThe fear of being experimented on kept Angie from living her life. She wants a mate, something more, but she can’t find it hiding in her mother’s shadows. She throws caution to the wind on her birthday and heads out to see Aiden, the twin brother she’s been kept away from. A march storm rolls through grounding her plane and she imprints with Hector, a badass werewolf player. She gets a glimpse of a possible normal future. When someone from her past kidnaps her, she now must face the scientist she’s always dreaded. One problem after another threatens to break them apart.

Hector doesn’t do long term relationships. Love doesn’t like him and he doesn’t deserve it. His long list of conquests only proves his quick cycle of women. When he imprints with Angie, he’s forced to evaluate feelings he isn’t used to. While he wants Angie’s love, his inner demons remind him people always leave him. When Angie is kidnapped, so many emotions run through him and the fear of losing her, scares him more than he thought possible.

***This book does standalone, but they’re better when read in order.***

Book Review: Till Death Do Us Part

It’s another Friday and you know what that means… Means it is almost the weekend. If you are wondering what to do this weekend, how about snuggling up with a book. And what a book I got for you. This book is titled, “Till Death do Us Part”. It is by Speculative Fiction author Stephanie Ayers. This novella is a horror story that tells a journey of love and death. You definitely will enjoy this book, I did.

The Review

Speculative Fiction author Stephanie Ayer twists a story and scatters threads throughout this horror filled book. She takes you on a journey how a man rejected by a woman throws away the engagement ring. But, the ring passes through hands to find its way home to the rightful wearer. The only problem is everyone dies and disaster strikes throughout the entire city. The end is so twisted and screwed up it left me with my mouth hanging open in surprise. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to read a book that has twists, turns, death, and love all mixed into one.

McKayla Schutt created two awesome characters that mesh extremely well together. You can’t help but fall in love at first sight with them. Her storyline is strong and keeps the momentum going from beginning to end. I find that each book in this series pulls together more loose threads to a bigger story. Highly recommend this book to those who love a romance with a troublesome female lead and a guy that kicks butt.

The Review

Things get even more complicated with family secrets and trying to deal with the possibilities of being the next alpha female.
Derrick is the Austin pack alpha. He goes into to meet the new mayor only to find a sexy as sin woman that he can’t keep his hands off of. When the chance comes he finds out she is his mate but she isn’t having none of it. Can Derrick get Maria to accept their fate or will he loose his wolf forever?
McKayla Schutt does an amazing job creating a world around her characters that is believable and realistic. You instantly fall in love with her characters and want to keep reading about them from the beginning of the book. She keeps you on the edge of your seat with excitement and a sense of hunger to devour every page put in front of you. Highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a powerful female lead that gets thrown through a loop and needs a strong alpha male to pick her up.

Book Review: Wolf House

These books are an addiction I can’t shake. I didn’t realize how I was going to get wrapped up in this series when I snatched up book 1. Hard to believe that one freebie turned into a hungry to read the entire series. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me and I bet it won’t be my last. Check out my review below to see my thoughts on the fifth book in Tim O’Rourke’s Kiera Hudson Series One.

The Review

Kiera is free and back with Potter. But, Luke is still missing and Potter wanting to show his love for Kiera sets off to help find him. He is twisted up inside because nothing he does seems right in Kiera’s eyes. Potter falls back into old habits when he runs down memory lane.

A lycanthrope brings him back through his past to revisit the nightmare he lived in the Wolf House. Find out if Potter finds the murderer of the children in this adventure. Also, watch as Potter not only falls in love but rips the heart of Kiera at the same time. Who can she trust?

First off, I love this book. At first I didn’t understand the importance it had within the series. So far, all the books have been in Kiera’s POV. Then boom this book drops in front of me and it is all Potter. At first I didn’t see why it was even in the series. Yes, it would be a good book as a side novella but in the series?

Once I got to the end of this book, it was all laid out for me in black and white. This book ties into the series with such fine strings you have to follow along without hesitation. I had so many questions and it answered them all. Now the new problem is who is Elias Munn? Is it Potter? You will have to read to find out.

Question I had while reading this book:

What is the importance of Potter’s journey at the Wolf House?

Why does Potter do and say everything wrong?

Is he Elias Munn?

Where the heck is Luke?

And, why can’t Kiera make her choice on her man already?

Ranking: 4 out of 5 stars!

It’s week two of The Legend review series. We are now onto Red Eclipse. This is by far one of my favorites in this series so far. And, McKayla doesn’t disappoint by slacking on the sexy werewolves and witches. Check out my review provided below.

The Review

Alia is a witch on the run. She has a past that will come back to haunt her if she stays in one place for too long. But, when a man gets shot she has know choice but to help. Now putting the target on her back and an imprint bond with a man she doesn’t no, she finds her world turned upside down.

Olsen was shot. All he remembers is the smell of the woman who saved him and he knows she is his mate. He only has three days to find her but life tends to get in the way with being the second in command.

McKayla Schutt continues her series on strong legs. This book strengthens the world building book one started. She does a great job introducing two knew characters and makes you fall in love with the both of them. The love between these two is inspiring and keeps you turning the page. Highly recommend this book to anyone wanting sexy werewolves with a thing for witches.

Book Review: Celina

DISCLAIMER: THIS BOOK REVIEW FEATURES A BOOK WITH ADULT CONTENT NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18. PLEASE BE ADVISED.

Greetings everyone, it’s another fine day here in Iowa. Hope everyone is having a good day so far. I am happy to say my first weekly review series is about to start. I was trying to figure out which series to do first. So, I thought I would start off with a series that made me fall in love with wolf shifters. This is why I will be spending the next nine weeks reviewing The Legend Series by McKayla Schutt. I hope you will join me on this wild ride and read along as I unleash my thoughts.

The Review

Celina is a witch cursed by circumstances when she imprints with a werewolf. She has to chose between the sanctuary of her coven or the uncertainties set before her if she chooses to stay with her mate. But, with her daughter to think about Celina journeys out to re-connect with her mate after a long absence. With obstacles in her way will she choose her mate or leave him forever.

Pico has lived without his mate for several years. The pain of loss is to hard to bare and he is about to give up. Then Celina walks into the picture once again and he falls all over again for her. Now that she is back a power struggle happens within his pack and trying to find his place is even harder than ever.

McKayla Schutt builds a world that is very relatable. The characters are believable and you fall for them instantly. Besides a few grammar and structural issues with the final product the book is well written. You can’t help but fall in love with the story from page one. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for sexy werewolves and a happily ever after story.
