Welcome back to my blog. Today I am doing a special author spotlight feature Fantasy Author Ariel Paiement. She is a talented writer and I thought it would be a good day to showcase her to you all.
Hi, I’m Ariel Paiement, a Christian speculative fiction author. My aim is to write fantasy and sci-fi that provokes thought and leaves the readers thinking about real world parallels to my work long after they’ve finished reading. My work is presented with a Christian world-view even when the work might not be openly discussing or focused on Christianity, the Gospel, or God. This means that although even non-Christian readers will be able to enjoy my work, I am not shy about noting that all of the themes and concepts presented as good will be traditional Christian themes and concepts. As an author, my favorite stories to write are the ones that are complex, full of great characterization, and richly built with a world readers can immerse themselves within.
Five Fun Facts:

I’m a freelance editor. I’m teaching English for homeschooled kids this school year. I love horseback riding. I’ve gone gem-mining before. I lived in Upstate New York for nearly nine years and never once went to New York City.

Kaidan Tadegan is working on a new site trying to prove the myth that two armies of the gods clashed there. While on the dig site, he discovers the evidence he’s looking for, but he gets more than he bargained for when he discovers a woman’s bones in a section of the dig site where no other remains have been found. As he digs the bones out, he discovers a journal with the woman’s body, which tells a story that, if true, will turn the myths of the old world and the established concepts of good and evil on their heads. Startled by the find, Kaidan sets out to discover whether the diary’s claims have any validity. But when the diary leads to a city that’s supposedly long gone, Kaidan’s journey becomes more difficult than expected. Things become even more tangled when he discovers that the city isn’t gone, but it’s no place for the living. Unable to give up on his quest, he forges ahead. What lies ahead is uncertain, and even more uncertain is whether Kaidan will survive this quest. He has only two questions in his mind. Will he find the truth in this city of the dead? And will the world accept the truth?
