Hard to believe it is the last Tuesday of August already. Just in a blink it will be Christmas followed by a New Year. Anyway enough reminiscing…today I am sitting down with Crime Fiction Author Cassandra Jones. Hope you enjoy getting to know her as much as I did. Happy reading everyone :).
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am from a small town in West Virginia. I enjoy writing, reading, drawing a d working on the family history.
What genre do you write in? Why?
Mostly crime fiction. I love anything to do with crime! I also write horror, poetry, romance, and children’s.
What does your daily life look like? What do you wish it was like?
Right now I am usually at home doing lots of writing and looking for a job. I wish there were places here to get out and have fun. It’s a very small country town.
Do you have any strange quarks you do while you write a book?
I tend to make playlists for everything I write, even my poetry.
What is your writing process like?
I will start an outline, but after getting names and a plot, I tend to just write. I take notes and add things as I go.
What authors inspired you to write your own book?
Karen Young, Stephen King, and James Patterson
When you write your books do you go straight for pencil and paper or a computer? Why?
Usually pencil and paper. Right now I write on my phone so it seems to be easier. Plus I am an old fashioned kind of girl!
Who is your biggest support system in your life?
My best friend Selena.
Who are your top three favorite authors?
Karen Young, Elle James, and Delores Fossen
What is the one thing you want to say to your readers?
I hope I can inspire you with my writing. Never give up on your dreams and keep moving forward!

When not writing, she can usually be found with my nose in a book.
